Blog post # 5

The story of the "White Mountains by John Christopher was a good book although at times was pretty hard to read. There were times where I thought it was confusing, especially when Will was talking about the ancients. It would be great to talk to one of the characters in the book. Will would be the character that I would want to talk to about his life. One question I would like to ask him would be, why was his fathers watch so important to them and why were there so few watches? On page 2 of the book Will says, 'My fathers great treasure though was not the clock but the watch". I can't think of why a watch would be so important. The most important thing in my house would be my dads money not his watch. Another question I would like to ask Will is, what did it feel like to kill a Tripod? I know I would be scared because they were so big. On page 180 Will says, "Its tentacle dropped dead like snake. Our tormentor would not torment us again". I was excited when Will killed the Tripod. I hoped that this would happen but was not sure if Will could do it.
